PHACON Temporal Bone Patient “Schmidt” – 55 years old – regular anatomy

To train different classic surgeries on the temporal bone, for example mastoidectomy, the PHACON Temporal Bone Patient “Schmidt” represents an anatomic highly detailed artificial specimen. The Patient is based on a high resolution CT-data set, which is included in the navigation system. Structures like the tympanic membrane, the ossicles, the facial nerve and chorda tympani are integrated as important landmarks. In the special variants for practicing cochleostomy, a complex cochlea for inserting electrodes into the scala tympani is implemented. Preparing implant beds for cochlea and bone bridge implants is also possible.
