The innovative PHACON Temporal Bone Assistant – transparent cochlea is designed to simulate a wide range of middle ear and inner ear surgeries with interchangeable and compatible PHACON Temporal Bone Patients of different anatomies. With unprecedented accuracy and orientation during training, supported by the visualization of CT data and the automatic detection of injuries to critical structures. The PHACON Temporal Bone Assistant is also equipped with various trackers that enable precise navigation of surgical instruments.
All PHACON artificial specimens are based on real patient CT data and reflect a wide variety of human tissue characteristics (bone, cartilage, muscle, skin and nerves), handcrafted from different materials down to the smallest detail. Available with different characteristics, many compatible PHACON Temporal Bone patients can be reordered from PHACON at any time.
